slumdog millionaire

salam
slumdog millionaire was a successful story. seeing the kids in the story reminds me of the Palestinians kids. I watched the movie twice. it was a long one, but still, i could have goosebumps watching it. (in fact, i could watch it with you for the third time)

just imagine your children or your relatives who had to suffer those ways. suffering is neverending in the world. the children continue to suffer, and situations get worsen.

learning literature has brought me to many countries in the world. it has brought me to many realisations too. before learning the big 'L', i am still under my coconut shell, dealing with myself, and pretending to be intelligent. rite. and moreover, movies has brought me further. it's a funny thing that i realised life is evolving. i evolved.

thanks to many authors who wrote such wonderful books, short stories, poems and plays like 'Fasting and Feasting, Things Fall Apart, Pride and Prejudice, Educating Rita, Death of a Salesman, mid summere night's dream, The Ancient Mariner and etc. (and thanks to mama for forcing me to enter the english teaching line. or not, realisations will still be vague, not until i reach the age of 60)

'there is no frigate like a book'

THERE is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.

This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

- emily dickinson

p/s i always like books but i find it hard to stay focus on one coz i have insufficient time! gah
