aku peduli apa

bila ada budak-budak pas rokok depn mata
aku tak tau nak buat apa.
tengok aje.
tidak peduli
tapi hati aku peduli.
sangat peduli.
dok pk.
napelah budak-budak ni.
kesian.
tapi kenapa aku senyum je?
aku tak nampak secara zahirnya.
tapi aku tau la.
aku pun penah sekolah.
bila budak-budak pas barang yang lagi dahsyat dari rokok
(yu all budak laki-laki mungkin tahu apa dia)
aku senyum.
aku cakap
"korang ni. pandai sangat la nak pas barang. depan aku pulak tu. lawak sungguh"
cuba imbas, perkataan 'aku' itu digunakan untuk segelintir kelas sahaja, okay?
dan untuk kelas tersebut, 'aku' tu berkesan la jugak.

bodohkah respon aku itu?
aku cikgu baru.
aku tak tahu mahu aksi bagaimana.
sayang betul.
budak-budak baik, bagus, kalau diberi peluang pasti boleh.
cuma perlukan sedikit perhatian cikgu.
tapi aku tak tahu handle
aku bukan kaki report nak pegi pada cikgu syaker

malas, malas.
tapi tetap terfikir.
agh.

well..saya rasa cikgu patut menegur budak2 tu..klu xnak repot pun at least tegurlah budak2 yg merokok tu..mana tahu teguran cikgu diterima baik oleh mereka..yg penting teguran tu mestilah kena pada gayanya..huhu

nani, i know you and you need to sound direct bak kata mr daha tu, because once you smiled, they can geddit in their heads that its ok. if you sound, at least you done something rather than nothing. seriously, i know sometimes you feel its ok but kids nowadays need that reprimand and we teachers need to give it to em. kat labu besar pun i byk tegur and kat my school ni pun threathen siap, haha, and you know what, sometimes it pays to do that~

i've learnt to be fierce in school and i think u should not just smile. i am taught to bring those kind of students to bilik disiplin and rotan them. since my school is really problematic, smiling totally doesnt work with them, but a rotan does. although it might not preventing them from smoking outside of school, but at least they will show respect or fears to u.

relax la kawan
aku hadapi masalah yg sama
bila masuk kelas budak baik, ok
tp bila sebaliknya
aku pun xtau mana satu tindakan yg patut aku ambik
senyum atau serius?
hati aku lembut, luaran aku garang
kadang2 kita tak rancang tp senyuman tu keluar kat muka
takkan nak jugak salahkan cekgu?

well, i notice that my students here were treated with threats, rotan, cubit and so on. one day i relief a class, went on about asking them what they think of the teachers and the school. and most of them are not angry, but dissapointed. with the teachers. because they only do the canning, but not the heart to heart talking.

they also told me that they lack of respect towards teachers because teachers never ask them.

" cikgu mana nak sembang ngan kami teacher. diorang kata kami bodoh, lembab. buang masa ja kalau depa tanya apa masalah kami. bukan kami akan berubah pun"
freedom writers la sangatkn?

i duno. maybe,i have to experience it to find out. well, there are plenty of time for me to discover. let me research and find a way to make them be good in their discipine other than just using rotan, ketuk ketampi, sekeh kepala and so on :)

wish me luck!
good luck to all teachers!

many of us disagree of canning and stuff, even myself at first i think it won't change anything, but my first experience in school taught me that students nowadays (not all) just could not respect teachers. Once, in a class that i had to relief, the students didnt even greet, fine with me, so i just asked them to the work given by their teacher. and five minutes later, an indian boy went to a toilet with an indian girl, and one malay boy reported it to me that the couple had oral sex in the toilet. i was unsure of what to do, therefore i called the discipline teacher and the couple were bought to the 'dark room' both of their parents were called and the parents were given a rotan each and whacked their children. all i can see the boy's head were covered in blood. and the next day, the indian boy took revenge on the malay boy, he whacked him with a chair, and their fighting got serious and the other malays and indians took a chair each and whacked each other. i was the relief teacher during that time, they didn't care of who you are you know. what i did was trying to calm them down, but they didn't care, and again i have to call the discipline teachers, and the whole class got whacked by rotan, and yet some people still can say its not right to rotan the students.

@wani: well, first things first, wani, i'm not against rotan tau.don't get me wrong, tau, hehehe :P

@to all: it's right to rotan the students. but,it has to be accompanied with something. like what the discipline teacher in labu besar did. he asked the students to recite al-fatihah, doa, and talked to them, like a father. then only he rotan the students. well, there are ways, to make them respect us. to my surprise, this really work and students do respect the discipline teacher, and they tried hard to make him not angry. well,it's not just the students i guess, it's the whole school.

to rotan is maybe a must, but there are many ways to approcah with the rotan.i dun think we could do much as we are new. but things could change,if we try, even for only one student. who knows? :)

ok ok ppl.
i noe it's hard to decide, since we are new, have no experience and all. go on with what you are doing, experiment a bit, try a bit, maybe harder. there could be surprises later on. well, even we teachers do not have the same thing in mind, approach and so on. do what you are commfortable with. just one thing, my fellow friends, i wana tell you ppl.

don't give up your hope just yet
:)
chaiyok!
