a dress in the making

salam.
just now i went to first impression jalan TAR,  (next to nagoya) to custom make my nikah and reception outfit using the materials i bought in Bandung. I was thrilled and the boutique was suggested by mama so follow je la kan? unfortunately i forgot to take pictures of the boutique, busy sangat browsing thru the ready-made baju pengantin untuk jadi contoh my dress. So, asked the expert la kan, believe me, tailors memang pakar and know everything about the perfect dress for your body size. So we just asked her to recommend the suitable dress for this proud plus-sized bride to be :P hehe
and guess what ? she suggested the empire cut dress! I re-confirmed with her about it and she said the right kind of material will balance your body. My mama was suddenly okay with empire cut dress despite all the disagreement about it when I showed her "mama nak macam ni?" (pointing tu empire cut baju pengantin), and she'll go "kau gemuk. tak sesuai. lagi nmpak gems". and today, after being convinced by the tailor, she agreed and thought that empire cut was awesome. hahaha.
akhirnya :')

and as for my nikah outfit, just the classic baju kurung modern.
the tailor said that this will be done after 1 1/2 months. so soon? heh :P
Alhamdulillah. progress :)))

oh, for u out there who couldn't guess what empire cut is, here are some random pictures bout em. enjoy :)
